The Gallery The Members The Store The History of the 'Imagine That' Artisans Co-op E-mail 'Imagine That!'

Imagine that! is an artisan run co-operative store in Duncan on Vancouver Island, B.C. Midway between Victoria and Nanaimo lies the Cowichan Valley which boasts of a high concentration of artists per capita. As a result, our store shows the finest local art and craft pieces. All consignees' artworks go through a jury process before being put on display. Since the number of artists may vary from 80 to over 100, our store always has a lively and refreshing appearance.

NAIG, the 2008 North American Indigenous Games, will be held in the Cowichan Valley. To celebrate the spirit of the Games, Imagine that! has a fine selection of signed and dated West Coast Carvings available from a local, private art collection.

Imagine that! invites visitors to British Columbia to come and visit beautiful Vancouver Island. Come to spend some time here, to enjoy the area and to take home the gifts our Island artists and artisans have lovingly created. Situated in busy downtown Duncan City Square, our storefront entices passers-by with delightful window displays. Inside, the store is stocked with original art cards, ceramics, enamels, fabric arts, furniture, gifts, glass, jewellery, paintings, papier mache, photography, sculpture, woodwork and hand-made soaps and creams. The variety of our artists and our gifts is always changing.
